Women’s Ministry Council
The Women’s Ministry Council coordinates mission projects among the women’s circles, and each circle conducts individual mission projects.
The purpose of the council is to unify and empower women of First Baptist Church through involvement in community, state, and global missions. Between the various circles and the collective efforts of the Council, the women of First Baptist Church assist many agencies and groups and help many individuals in need.

Previous activities include:
- Sponsoring Operation Christmas Child
- Coordinating hostesses for bereavement meals
- “Caring for Friends” Ministry (includes visitation and cards to church homebound and assisted living/nursing home members)
- Donations to Delta Hands for Hope
- Supporting other local groups such as: Pathway House, Meg’s House, Hospice, Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, Bowers-Rogers Home, Pineridge Appartments.

ALMA JOHNSON CIRCLE
The Alma Johnson Circle usually meets the first Monday of the month during the day (not evening). The time/hour may differ from month to month depending on the mission activity. There is no meeting in September due to a planning meeting in August.

About Us:
The Alma Johnson Circle is a caring and supportive group focused on ministry and fellowship. Its primary purpose is to be the heart and hands of Jesus within our church and community through various hands-on mission projects/activities, as well as visiting and sending cards to our church’s Caring Friends. Once this circle learns of a need, it forms a plan of action and acts! And the AJ Ladies love to talk and fellowship with each other!

Meets first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the church parlor

Note: Due to Labor Day, the Joann Gray Circle does not meet in September
